Assessment of a property’s condition, its maintenance liability and producing strategies to improve operational and cost effectiveness throughout the whole life of a building are key elements that we apply to achieve this.

Decent Homes & Estate Regeneration

Allcott Commercial Building Surveying have many years of experience working on Decent Homes schemes and LA housing regeneration schemes. Our staff are fully versed with the JCT and NEC suites of contracts and in managing partnering contracts. Our key aims include: building relationships with all parties at an early stage, accurate monitoring and reporting to meet KPI’s, maintaining good communication and applying our technical expertise to standardise specification and design.

Stock Condition Surveys

We have a wide experience of undertaking stock condition surveys on large and small property portfolios for clients in numerous sectors. Closely managed experienced site teams and our long standing relationships with M&E sub-consultants ensure timely and cost effective delivery. Report formats are tailored to fully meet client brief with recommendations for remedial works and associated costs to ensure that the client has sufficient information for future planned maintenance programming.

Life Cycle Appraisal

Our in house team regularly provide life cycle assessments and offer advice on whole life cost options for all building types. This information enables clients to accurately plan, programme and budget for future building maintenance and element replacement.

Relocation Management

Working closely with Nottingham Trent University on their ambitious plans to regenerate and update its estate, our dedicated relocations manager was responsible for the implementation of all student and staff relocations within the University Estate. This included management and control of external relocation and storage consultants to ensure risk and problem free, large scale churn relocations.

Our in house team are able to produce detailed CAD drawings, schedules, budget forecasts and strategies to help mobilise occupants while refurbishments and relocation are commenced. We can act as an integral member of any estates client team, adding value and professionalism in highly pressured and diverse environments.

Defects Analysis

The technical expertise of our staff and the application of modern surveying methods and equipment allows swift diagnosis of all types of building defect found in domestic, commercial and other types of property.

Whether it be part of a larger condition survey, the identification of the cause of a specific single defect or comment upon a latent defect issue, we are able to produce professional reports tailored to the clients requirements. Our reports can be fully costed and provide recommendations for remedial works.

Strategic Portfolio Reviews

We offer expert advice at all stages of the accommodation lifecycle in either an advisory or management coordination role. Our advice will be delivered by experienced project advisors and managers using methodologies and systems to help steer projects through the various change processes on an optimum basis so that solutions can be implemented in the shortest possible timescales.
